I met Amanda at the Home Fair, and for the past six months, we have formed a Mastermind group with other entrepreneurs. Her passion for interior design and entrepreneurship is infectious, which is why it is time to introduce her to you."
Wie Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Amanda Kuijper, founder and interior designer of Design in a Box. I design warm, timeless interiors for people seeking peace and quality in their homes. From an initial concept to 3D. If desired, we can also realize the interior.
What gives you energy in your work?
The moment a space starts to feel right. When color, light, and material come together and someone says: this feels like coming home.
What link do you see between your work and art?
A painting deserves breathing space. Hang it at eye level, against a calm, warm wall without competition around it, and give it some distance. Then a nature-inspired piece like Susan's becomes the quiet heart of a room, to which the rest naturally aligns.
What strikes you about Susan and her work?
Susan captures the tranquility of nature in her paintings. That is exactly the feeling I seek in an interior as well. In this way, her work and mine reinforce each other.
