Nature's Medley

For this painting, Miranda and Hans asked me to create a peaceful reed and water scene, as the beating heart of their recently redecorated apartment.

At their request, I incorporated a great spotted woodpecker, an American lobster, a robin and a great tit into the composition. While painting the reed stems and reflections on the water, I brought out the liveliness of those animals: a subtle interplay of colour and movement.
